May Center for Learning: New Mexico’s First IDA-Accredited Structured Literacy Program
Dyslexia Specialist National Certification Program
May Center for Learning’s teacher preparation program is accredited by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA)—making us the first Structured Literacy program in New Mexico to receive this prestigious recognition.
This reflects our deep commitment to evidence-based reading instruction that empowers all students—especially those with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences.
We offer both a Structured Literacy specialist course of study designed for pre-service and in-service elementary school teachers, and a national certification program in Dyslexia Intervention using the SEE program. We offer this national certification program through our partnership with Shelton School of Dallas.
Our certification program is offered as a pathway for teachers to earn their reading endorsement through the New Mexico Public Education Department.
